CROWN POINT — A Ticonderoga man was killed in a one-vehicle accident Thursday night.
According to State Police, around 8:46 p.m., a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado operated by Anthony C Armstrong, 58, of Ticonderoga, was traveling south on State Route 9N, when, for an unknown reason, the vehicle ran off the west shoulder of the highway.
Armstrong’s vehicle ran into the guard rails and then into a ditch, overturning.
Crown Point Fire and Lamoille EMS responded.
However, Armstrong was pronounced deceased at the scene by Essex County Coroner Kellie King.
His body was removed to the University of Vermont Health Network at CVPH in Plattsburgh, where an autopsy will be scheduled.
