PLATTSBURGH — Three men were arrested Friday morning in connection with a ongoing investigation into the sales and transportation of narcotics in the greater Plattsburgh area.
According to City of Plattsburgh Police, arrested were Stephone Salley, 23, of Brooklyn, Demetrice Moore, 50, of Schenectady, and Michael Carey, 27, of Plattsburgh.
Police said the arrests stem from the execution of a search warrant at the city address of 46 Miller St. where approximately 55 grams of heroin and 35 grams of cocaine were located inside the residence, being packaged for sale.
Police estimate the street value of the drugs to be in excess of $8,500.
Other items recovered during the execution of the warrant were various items used for the packaging and distribution of illicit drugs and approximately $3,500 in currency.
Salley and Moore were each charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, class B felonies.
They were arraigned late Friday afternoon in Plattsburgh City Court and sent to the Clinton County Jail with bail set at $20,000 cash or $50,000 bond.
Carey was charged with first-degree criminal nuisance, a class E felony, and was released on an appearance ticket to be arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court on Sept. 26.
Members of the New York State Police, Clinton County Sheriff’s Department and Essex County Sheriff’s Department assisted in this investigation and additional arrests are expected, police said.
