Ti Chamber hosts after hours mixer

TICONDEROGA — Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce will host an after business mixer and networking event at Tromblee's Greenhouse & Gift Shop on Thursday, Nov. 21 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. 

The Ti Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) is a non-profit organization serving, marketing and promoting the Ticonderoga area to enhance a cooperative business community and create a vibrant economy. The after business mixers provides a networking forum for chamber members and area business people, in addition to showcasing the site of the host and promoting the door prize sponsors.

Located at 2961 Route 9N in Crown Point, Tromblee’s Greenhouse and Gift Shop offers annuals, perennials, nursery stock, vegetables, hanging baskets, planters, containers and more. It also offers custom planting for people and an onsite gift shop offers an array of country, farmhouse, custom gifts, decorations and more.

PLATTSBURGH — ETS was honored with a 2019 American Staffing Association Elevate Award at the American Staffing Association’s Annual Conference Staffing World.

ETS was honored for its partnership with the CV-TEC and Clinton Community College Assembling Industry: Manufacturing & Education program, or AIME. Since 2010, the eight-week training course has been preparing individuals throughout the North Country to “Skill-Up” and jump start a career in manufacturing. The program equips students of all ages with in-demand technical skills, offers a behind the scenes look at local manufacturing facilities, teaches students how to get their resumes in top shape and ace an interview, and concludes with an employment seminar where participants will have the opportunity to interview with North Country employers.
