MALONE -- Alice Hyde Medical Center (AHMC) will offer an 8-week Weight-Loss for Wellness program.

The program will promote gradual weight loss through calorie restriction, exercise and behavior change.

The program will run from May 2 to June 20 on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in the Medical Center's new cafeteria conference room. All interested participants must be at least 18 years old and have a physician referral. Please check with your insurance provider for program coverage prior to enrolling.

PLATTSBURGH -- In recognition of the emotional impact of suicide on families and communities, the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Champlain Valley (NAMI: CV) is starting a group for suicide survivors ages 18 years and older.
