Medical center hosts job fair today

SARANAC LAKE -- Adirondack Medical Center will be hosting an on-site job fair at AMC-Uihlein in Lake Placid today.

On-site job interviews will be conducted from 3 to 7 p.m. for career opportunities in the health care field (RNs, LPNs and CNAs) and in the support services field (dietary, environmental, and maintenance) as well.

Diabetes educational program presented

PLATTSBURGH -- Ann Watts, a CVPH Medical Center dietitian, will present a free educational program on the future of diabetes on Thursday at the Comfort Inn Conference Center starting at 6:30 p.m.

This program is designed for people with diabetes, their families and friends. All are encouraged to arrive at 6 p.m. for hors d'oeuvres. For reservations phone 566-7043.

This program will take the place of the regularly scheduled CVPH Diabetes Support Group meeting in May.

Society holds talk on charitable giving

LAKE PLACID -- Members of the Adirondack Planned Giving Society will be hosting a discussion on Charitable Giving from the Donor's Perspective at Heaven Hill Farm on Friday starting at 4 p.m.

Leslie Blount, director of the community relations and public affairs from Keybank in Burlington, Dodie and Roderic Glitz, founders of the Port Jackson fund, and Carol and Glenn Pearsall, founders of the Glenn and Carol Pearsall Adirondack Foundation are the featured donor speakers.
