PLATTSBURGH — Curaleaf New York will host a free Q&A session from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Curaleaf’s Plattsburgh dispensary at 345 Cornelia St.

The goal of the session is to enable "individuals to speak with a licensed pharmacist about medical cannabis and how it could vastly improve quality of life for patients suffering from a range of qualifying conditions under New York state’s medical marijuana program, including cancer, PTSD, chronic pain and more," a media release said.

“Medical cannabis is a vital treatment option for thousands of patients in the North Country and we are committed to teaching individuals about the benefits of medical cannabis and how it can be used in New York State,” Michelle Bodner, CEO of Curaleaf New York, said in the release. “We encourage patients and community members to attend these sessions to meet with our pharmacists, ask questions and learn more about medical cannabis.”

In honor of American Pharmacist Month, this free townhall-style session will be led by Kirsten Bezio, RPh, a New York state-licensed pharmacist practicing at Curaleaf’s Plattsburgh dispensary. At the event, attendees will have access to health-care professionals who will answer questions and guide patients to the medicinal cannabis products that best suit their needs.
