PLATTSBURGH — Several North Country Regional Blood Donor Center blood drives are slated for November, all of them open to the community.

Here's the schedule:

• 9 a.m. to noon, Thursday, Nov. 1, Northern Insuring, 171 Margaret St., Plattsburgh. 

• 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, State Department of Environmental Conservation headquarters, 1115 Route 86, Ray Brook. 

• 3 to 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, Elizabethtown Fire Department, hosted by American Legion Post 551. 

• 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, SUNY Plattsburgh Angell College Center.

• Noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, Jeffords Steel, 4398 Route 22, Plattsburgh. 

• 1:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, Elks Club, Malone. 

• 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, Clinton County ARC, New York Road, Plattsburgh. 

• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, North Country Community College, Saranac Lake campus.  

• 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, Clinton Community College. 

• 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, Massena Memorial Hospital. 

• 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, Eli’s Cabinet Shop, Burke. 

• Noon to 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, Mountain Lake Services, Port Henry. 

• 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, Essex Fire Department, co-hosted by the Essex Masonic Lodge. 

• 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, Champlain Catholic Men’s Club, Oak Street, hosted by the Champlain Knights of Columbus. 

• Noon to 3 p.m.Tuesday, Nov. 20, Nicholville Fire Department. 

• 4 to 7 p.m.Tuesday, Nov. 20, Brushton-Moria American Legion Post 939. 

• 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, Alice Hyde Medical Center, Malone. 

• 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.Monday, Nov. 26, University of Vermont Health Network, Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, Miner Medical Arts Building, third-floor Lab conference room.

• 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, Malone Fire Department.

Blood collected by the North Country Donor Center stays in the North Country, helping people in need of blood at hospitals in Plattsburgh, Elizabethtown, Malone, Massena, Saranac Lake and Glens Falls. 

To be eligible to donate blood, a person must be in good health and at least 17 years of age. The minimum weight requirement is 110 pounds. All donors must pass a physical and health history exam conducted at the drive prior to donation. A valid ID is required. Whole blood can be donated once every eight weeks (56 days).

Find the center at the CVPH Health Plaza, 85 Plaza Blvd. in Plattsburgh. It's open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday; walk-ins are welcome.
