Back to the Beach

Kite surfers from Quebec prep their gear and skim across the water as they take advantage of a blustery day at the Plattsburgh City Beach. The Plattsburgh City Beach will be opening for the season on Monday, June 24, with limited swimming areas. Additional areas will be opened once the water level of Lake Champlain recedes. The Cabana Beach Bar, The Party Factory and The Polish Corner will be open to provide beverages, beach supplies and various food items. Entry to the beach is free with proof of residency for City and Town of Plattsburgh residents. City residents can obtain season beach passes from the City’s Recreation Center on the U.S Oval or at the beach entry booth. Town of Plattsburgh residents can obtain passes at Plattsburgh Town Hall.
