MOOERS FORKS " Janet F. Lamberton, 66, of the Davison Road, Mooers Forks, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh following a brief illness.
She was born in Plattsburgh, May 12, 1941, the daughter of Robert J. and Lillian E. (Lamberton) Soden.
Janet worked for Ayerst in Rouses Point prior to becoming a homemaker and caring for her children. She enjoyed shopping and eating out, but her true love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Robert A. Lamberton, whom she married June 30, 1962, in Champlain; one daughter, Susan Lamberton of Mooers Forks and her fiancé Brent Dragoon of Mooers; one son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Dona Lamberton of Mooers Forks; nine grandchildren, Jesse, Joshua and Joey McSweeney and Ashley, Adam, Nicole, Kristen, Katelyn and Courtney Lamberton; one great-granddaughter; stepmother, Helen Soden of Chazy; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Marilyn Rabideau, Marion and David McCrea and Shirley and Harold Rabideau, all of Mooers Forks; Nancy and Clifton Dupee of Rouses Point and Pat and Rick Bucker of Bluffton, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; one son, Timothy Lamberton; sister, Joyce LaValley; and brother, Robert W. Soden.
Calling hours will be held Friday, June 22, 2007, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Mooers. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Mooers Forks United Methodist Church with Pastor Al Johnson officiating. Entombment will follow in the Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Ellenburg Depot.
Donations in Janet's memory may be made to the Mooers Fire Department or Rescue Squad, or Hospice of North Country.
