ELIZABETHTOWN " Isabelle O. Charest, 92, formerly of Cold Spring, N.Y., and Plattsburgh, went home to the Lord on Sunday, May 13, 2007, at Horace Nye Nursing Home.
She was born in Plattsburgh the daughter of Perley and Edith (Larvia) Case.
She married George Charest on April 26, 1952, in Albany. She was a member of the Episcopal Church in Cold Spring. Isabelle was a past president of the women's auxiliary of Butterfield Memorial Hospital and past president of the Garden Club in Cold Spring. She loved to travel and was a avid reader. Isabelle enjoyed cooking and being with her family.
Survivors include, one daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Hugh McCullough of Plattsburgh; one granddaughter and her husband, Tina and Clifton Phaneuf of Plattsburgh; two great-grandchildren, Heather and her husband Christopher Beaudette of Plattsburgh and Jason and his wife Casey LaFountain; two great-great-grandchildren, Alexander Beaudette and Emily Beaudette.
She was predeceased by her parents; a grandson, Randy Duquette; and a brother, Clarence Case.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2007, at Whispering Maples Mausoleum in Plattsburgh.
Donations may be made in memory of Isabelle to Horace Nye Nursing Home Memorial Fund. The R.W. Walker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.©
