LEWIS €" Evelyn (Provost) Cutting, 83, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at the Keene Valley Neighborhood House. She was born Sept. 20, 1923, the daughter of Eugene and Marjorie (Sweat) Provost.

Evelyn helped on the family farm for many years and was a member of the Dairyman's League. She also worked in the cafeteria at Elizabethtown-Lewis Central School and for the Lewis election board. She loved strawberry picking, snowmobiling, reading, doing crossword puzzles, but most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by four sons and their wives, Randall and Donna Cutting of Esperance, John and Catherine Cutting of Albany, Larry and dear friend Marne Cutting of Willsboro, Richard and Lauri Cutting of Elizabethtown; a brother and his wife, Richard and Pat Provost of Willsboro; three sisters, Jane and Spencer Lobdell of Willsboro, Thelma Curry of Plattsburgh, Phyllis Piikkila of Plattsburgh; seven grandchildren, Trina and her husband Ed LaBarge, Richard Cutting, Shawna Cutting, Taryn and her husband Justin Tubiolo, Rebecca and her husband Craig Crowningshield, Jacqueline Cutting, Krysta Cutting; and two great-grandchildren, Katie and Nicholas LaBarge.

She was predeceased by her husband, Norman C. Cutting; and one brother, Thurland (Sonny) Provost.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 5, at the Lewis Congregational Church at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
