PLATTSBURGH €" Betty A. Quilliam, 82, of Johnson Avenue, died on Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at the CVPH Medical Center.

She was born in Detroit, Mich., on July 30, 1924, the daughter of George and Mae (Deso) LeBlanc.

Betty was married to Russell J. Quilliam at Our Lady of Victory Church in 1971. Mr. Quilliam died on Nov. 12, 2002.

Betty was a waitress in the local area for many years, working at the Holiday Inn for five years and then working at Plattsburgh High School as a school monitor, retiring in 1980.

She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church, the American Legion Post 20 and a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 125. Betty enjoyed sewing and bowling.

Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Carol and Ronald Young of Beatrice, Neb., Sally Hues of Keeseville, Nancy and Chuck Depo of West Chazy and Dawn and Earl Irwin of Peru; one stepson and wife, Mr. and Mrs. John Quilliam of West Chazy; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Lyman Defayette of Cadyville; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

One brother, Robert LeBlanc; and two sisters, Gwendolyn Parkhurst and Colleen Sheppard, died earlier.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 1, 2007, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with entombment at the Whispering Maples Mausoleum in Plattsburgh.

A reception will take place following the entombment at the American Legion Post 20 on the Quarry Road in Plattsburgh.
