ELIZABETHTOWN — The Sentinels and the Lions went scoreless through two overtimes as both teams played to a 1-1 tie.

Ticonderoga’s Kylie Austin sent a corner kick into the box that Jaelyn Granger buried for the game’s first goal at 28:59.

With 10 minutes left in the game, Elizabethtown-Lewis tied the score when Emily Morris sent a shot into the upper right corner from 20 yards out.

During overtime, shutdown defense and stellar goalkeeping kept either team from scoring the go-ahead goal.

“This game was evenly matched,” Lions coach Steve Denton said. “We missed on some opportunities and couldn’t capitalize when we needed to.”

Kearsten Ashline and Emma Disorga combined for 14 Elizabethtown-Lewis saves, while Megan Campney made 10 saves for Ticonderoga.
