Price Chopper issues milk recall
Price Chopper Supermarkets has issued a recall on Price Chopper’s Homogenized Milk in half-gallon paper cartons with a UPC Code 4173513275 and a Sept. 29 expiration date.
The product is being recalled due to the possible presence of a non-hazardous cleaning solution in the milk. The solution is used to clean the equipment during milk processing and is not harmful to animals or humans.
Customers who have any of the affected product should return it to their local Price Chopper for a full refund.

In addition to alerting the media, Price Chopper initiated its Smart Reply notification program, which uses purchase data and consumer phone numbers on file in connection with the company’s AdvantEdge loyalty card to alert households that may have bought the recalled milk.
Clinton County rabies clinics scheduled
PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton County Health Department has set the dates for rabies clinics for dogs, cats and ferrets in Clinton County.
Here’s the schedule, with all sessions set for 6 to 8:30 p.m.: Tuesday, Sept. 24, Ellenburg Depot Fire Station, 5035 Route 11; Thursday, Sept. 26, Keeseville Fire Station, 8 Pleasant St.; Tuesday, Oct. 1, Plattsburgh Public Works Building, 215 Idaho Ave.; Thursday, Oct. 3, Champlain Fire Station, 162 Elm St.; Tuesday, Oct. 8, Chazy Fire Station, 9666 Main St.; Thursday, Oct. 10, Dannemora Fire Station, 163 Emmons St.; Tuesday, Oct. 15, Mooers Fire Station, 2508 Route 11, and Thursday, Oct. 17, Beekmantown Fire Station, 6973 Route 22.
All pets must be at least 3 months old. They need their first vaccination by 4 months old, which is good for a year. To receive the three-year vaccination, owners must show a certificate of proof of prior vaccination. A animals must be on a leash or in a carrier to be admitted to a clinic.
