SARANAC — Caleb Keysor’s hit to deep right field brought in Tanner Rascoe in the bottom of the seventh to give Saranac a 4-3 walk-off win over AuSable Valley in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference baseball Tuesday.
Austin Medeiros went the distance for the win, fanning 12, walking two and scattering six hits.

“Medeiros pitched great,” Saranac coach Frank Trudeau said. “The three runs he allowed were unearned. He was dominant on the mound with 12 Ks.
“Give AuSable Valley a lot of credit; they had no errors and played good defense. It was a really good baseball game.”
Saranac took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the fifth, and AuSable Valley tied it in the top of the sixth. Rascoe led off the bottom of the seventh with a double and advanced to third when Kyle Erickson’s fly ball dropped into left center. Then Keysor’s hit ended it.
Rascoe finished with two hits, and Erickson had three. Matt McCasland added a triple and a double for the Chiefs.
AuSable Valley’s Dillon Savage rapped two hits. Roger Preston pitched all seven innings in a losing effort.

PERU 8, NCCS 5
PERU — The Indians were tested for the first time this season but came away with a close victory against the Cougars.
Mitchell Cunningham delivered two hits, with a double and three RBI, to lead the way for Peru. Nick Demarais added two hits and an RBI.
Andy Kneussle took the win on the mound and combined with Luis Pepen-Matos for six strikeouts.
Kevin Sousa and Reece Tucker led Northeastern Clinton with three hits apiece, including a double. Garrett Begore chipped in with two hits, while Marcus Lefebvre had a triple.
