Airman David M. Nogle graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Nogle is the son of Kyong and Robert Nogle of Mooers and a 2006 graduate of Northeastern Clinton Central School, Champlain. He received a bachelor’s degree in 2010 from SUNY Plattsburgh.
Kristie Twining of Peru has been promoted to the rank of commander in the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Corps. She was commissioned an officer in 1999 and has been servicing as a weather research pilot and project manager for NOAA Aircraft Operations Center, Tampa, Fla., since 2002. She is a 1990 graduate of Peru High School.
Air National Guard Airman Adam M. Tobrocke graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas, where he completed intensive training and received credits toward an an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Tobrocke, who earned distinction as an honor graduate, is the son of Fritz and Joni-Jill Tobrocke of Plattsburgh and a 2007 graduate of Plattsburgh High School.
Three local members of the New York Army National Guard have been promoted in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership. Lea Crowningshield of Lewis, who serves with the 206th Military Police Company, was promoted to the rank of private first class. Michael Trask of Cadyville, serving with Company B, Recruiting and Retention, has been promoted to the rank of staff sergeant. Joshua Dubray of Plattsburgh, who serves with Company E (Forward Support Company Infantry), 427th Brigade Support Battalion was promoted to the rank of private.
