Police Log: Nov. 21, 2012


CHESTERFIELD — Two men were arrested in connection with a burglary.

Between June 2011 and January 2012, David B. Bresette, 22, of Keeseville, and Kerry D. Nolan, 20, of Peru, allegedly burglarized a bar in Chesterfield several times.

The pair took metal parts including washing machines, old radiators, bed frames, scaffolding, mowers, miscellaneous tools and other materials, according to Plattsburgh-based State Police.

Bresette was arrested at 4:10 p.m. Oct. 25 at 1 Vine S. in the Town of Chesterfield and was arraigned in the Town of Lewis Court. He was released and was scheduled to appear in Chesterfield Town Court Tuesday.

Police arrested Nolan at 2397 State Route 9 in the Town of AuSable at 1:20 p.m. Nov. 8. Nolan was arraigned in the Town of Chesterfield Court and released. He was scheduled to reappear in court Nov. 19.

DANNEMORA — An inmate at Clinton Correctional Facility was arrested on prison contraband charges.

According to police reports, a prison officer received confidential information that Edgardo Cucata, 29, might be in possession of a weapon. When Cucata was questioned, he allegedly surrendered a razor-type weapon.

The incident was reported to police at 1:38 p.m. April 17.

Cucata was arrested at 2:41 p.m. Monday and was charged with first-degree possession of prison contraband, a felony.

No further information was available.


CHAMPLAIN — A Rouses Point woman was injured in a car accident.

Celine D. Bouvier, 17, was driving west on Prospect Street at an unsafe speed, according to Chazy-based State Police. Bouvier lost control of the vehicle, drove off the road and struck a tree. Her car rolled over, landing upright on its wheels.

She was transported to CVPH where she was treated and released.

Bouvier was ticked for failure to keep right.


KEESEVILLE — A fire destroyed a garage attached to a home and a vehicle here.

“The home was completely saved,” and no one was injured, Keeseville Volunteer Fire Department Chief David Perkey said.
