Chazy Youth Hockey meeting Thursday
CHAZY — Chazy Youth Hockey will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Scotts’ Rink.
Friends of NCCS tourney Sept. 14
CHAMPLAIN — The Third annual Friends of NCCS Golf Tournament will be held Sept. 14 at North Country Golf Club. The event will benefit the boys’ soccer and the golf team at Northeastern Clinton Central School.
The tournament is a four-man scramble. Teams must have a combined handicap of at least 40. There will be prizes for longest drive, and closest to the pin. There will be cash prizes for a men’s division and mixed division (must be a minimum of five mixed teams). There will also be special hole-in-one prizes donated by Parker Chevrolet.
Dinner will be included as well. The cost is $65 for nonmembers and $45 for members and includes golf, cart and dinner.

Softball tourney attracts outside teams
WEST PLATTSBURGH — The 2013 Northern New York Softball Tournament will be held Sept. 14 and 15 at American Legion Post 1619.
Teams already registered come from Granville, Tupper Lake, Massena, Glens Falls, Middlebury, Vt., Hudson Falls West Plattsburgh, Saratoga Springs, Syracuse, Rochester, Johnstown and Plattsburgh.
It will be a two-game, round-robin event advancing to double elimination after seeds are established. Each team will play at least four games. The arc allowed will be 6 to 10 feet, and all teams will use the same neutral Easton Salvo Bats.

Barracks Fall Classic set for Oct. 6
PLATTSBURGH — The Barracks Fall Classic will be held Oct. 6 with a 10:30 a.m. shotgun start.
The minimum team handicap will be 33, and the maximum individual will be 18. The format will be scramble with team aggregate scores on 2, 10 and 16. Entry fee is $330 per team, skins included.
