Kelsey Stay of Plattsburgh, a SUNY Buffalo art student, has two paintings on display in New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s Washington, D.C., office through May 2014. Stay’s oil paintings are among 15 art pieces chosen from within the State University of New York system for exhibit in Cuomo’s office. A panel of SUNY art professors and members of the New York State Arts Council selected the pieces. This is the second year for SUNY artwork to be displayed in this venue.
Caroline May Lynch of Menands, daughter of the late Jim and Mary Lou Lynch, who lived in Chazy, received a master’s degree in counseling and community psychology from Sage Graduate School, Albany.
Kalee M. Smith, daughter of Mark and Wendy Smith of Morrisonville, has been named to the Dean’s List at LeMoyne College in Syracuse. She graduated from Saranac Central School and is a member of the class of 2015, majoring in psychology.
Three area residents graduated from SUNY Oneonta. Brianna Boliver of Morrisonville received a bachelor’s degree in biology; Sean Conery of Plattsburgh earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics; and Carly Tubbs of Ticonderoga earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
Morrisville State College has named four local students to the Dean’s List: Jacob Duquette of Plattsburgh, Kirstin Lagree of Bloomingdale, Nicole Lagree of Bloomingdale and Michaela Quinn of Brushton.
Ann Cantwell of Saranac Lake has been named to the Dean’s List at Union College, Schenectady. She is an economics major.
Connor Manning of Upper Jay and Deirdre Spilman of Plattsburgh have been named to the Dean’s List at St. Bonaventure University. Manning majors in sport studies, and Spilman is a journalism-mass communications major.
