The 2013 road-construction season is continuing.
Crews ask that motorists use caution when driving through work zones, where fines are doubled for speeding.
Here are some major projects in Essex and Franklin counties (Tuesday’s Construction Roundup detailed projects in Clinton):
Route 9, Chesterfield: Traffic has been reduced to one lane in alternating directions at the Chesterfield/Lewis line and is controlled by a temporary signal.
Route 86, Wilmington: Traffic has been reduced to one lane in alternating directions from the Jay/Wilmington line to Route 431 until further notice. Crews are repairing the bridge over the Ausable River a half-mile north of Fox Farm Road. Traffic is controlled by a temporary signal.
Old Military Road, Lake Placid: Crews are performing construction operations. Traffic is controlled by flaggers as necessary.
Adirondack Loj Road, North Elba: Motorists should use the temporary bridge while crews perform a replacement project.
Route 22, Willsboro: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction between the Willsboro/Essex line and the Chesterfield/Willsboro line. Crews are working near Reber Road and the railroad overpass in that area.
Mountain View Drive, Reber: Crews are performing a bridge reconstruction project. The project is expected to take several months to complete.
Interstate 87, Town of Chesterfield: Northbound traffic has been reduced to one lane from Exit 32 to the AuSable/Chesterfield line. Motorists should expect lane closures in both the northbound and southbound lanes between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Work is expected to be complete in late November.
Route 22, Westport: Traffic has been reduced to a single lane in alternating directions from the Essex/Westport line to the Westport/Moriah line. The work, with completion expected in late November, is taking place between the Wadhams hamlet and County Route 8. Traffic is controlled by a temporary signal.
