coaching forms due

PLATTSBURGH — Area high school sports previews will continue to run this week in the Press-Republican.

The following teams have not returned forms as yet:

Boys’ basketball — Northern Adirondack, Saranac Lake, Ticonderoga, Johnsburg, Minerva/Newcomb.

Girls’ basketball — Lake Placid, Seton Catholic, Crown Point, Elizabethtown-Lewis, Indian Lake/Long Lake, Johnsburg, Minerva/Newcomb.

Boys’ hockey —Saranac Lake.

Girls’ hockey — Beekmantown, Saranac Lake.

Boys’ swimming — AuSable Valley, Plattsburgh, Franklin Academy.

Senior league in need of two bowlers

PLATTSBURGH — The TGIF Senior League, will bowls at 12:30 p.m. on Fridays at North Bowl Lanes, is in need of two bowlers age 50 and over. If interested, call Morna, at 643-8283, or North Bowl Lanes, at 561-1690.

Snowmobile safety course to be offered

WEST PLATTSBURGH — The Town of Plattsburgh Recreation Department will sponsor a New York State Certified Snowmobile Safety Course, beginning on Wednesday, Dec. 26.

New York State Law requires that any youth between the ages of 10 and 18 must first complete its Safety Training Course in order to operate a snowmobile on any property other than their parents’ or guardians’. The Town sponsored course is open to any Clinton County Youth between 10 and 18, who wishes to complete the course and receive a Safety Certificate. There is no fee for this course.

The course will be held during the school break, at the Town of Plattsburgh Office complex located on at 151 Banker Road on Wednesday, Dec. 26 and Friday, Dec. 28th, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Participants must attend both sessions.

Anyone wishing to take the course is asked to register with the Recreation Office prior to Dec. 21. The Recreation Office can be reached for further information at 562-6860 any weekday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.

PLATTSBURGH — Stick and puck will Dec. 9 from 4:30-5:45 p.m. and public skate will be held Dec. 8 from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
