First Atlantic City flight celebration today

PLATTSBURGH — The public is welcome at a celebration at Plattsburgh International Airport from 9:30 to 11 a.m. today to mark the inaugural charter flight of Caesars Entertainment from Plattsburgh to Atlantic City on Total Rewards Airlines. 

Clinton County and airport officials, along with Caesars Entertainment Atlantic City representatives, will be on hand. And there will be free giveaways.

The airport is located at 42 Airport Lane, Plattsburgh.

Plattsburgh City School Board to meet Thursday

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh City School Board will hold a special meeting at 7:30 a.m. at the Duken School Building.

The board will vote on Champlain Valley Educational Services Board candidates and budget.

School board to vote on CVES Board members

BEEKMANTOWN — The Beekmantown Central School Board will meet at 7:45 a.m. Thursday, April 24, in the Superintendent’s Office. Agenda items include voting on Champlain Valley Educational Services’ five vacant Board of Education seats and the tentative CVES administrative budget.

Peru School Board has brief agenda for Thursday

PERU — The Peru Central School Board will hold a brief special meeting at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, April 24, in the Junior-Senior High School Community Room.

The board’s only business will be to vote on the Champlain Valley Educational Services administrative budget and board candidates.

The public is welcome.

NACS Board to adopt 2014-15 school budget

ELLENBURG — The Northern Adirondack School Board will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at the District Office Conference Room. 

An executive session associated with the performance history of particular employees and collective negotiations will take place at about 6 p.m. The board will reconvene for public session business at about 7 p.m. The section VII, Class C girls basketball coach and team champions and girls and boys basketball all-stars will be recognized, as will the musical director and the John J. Hebert Scholar Athletes. Sam Beach will be recognized for winning first prize in printmaking through the North Country Cultural Center of the Arts.
