---- — PLATTSBURGH — Mr. Patrick J. "Pat" Burke, 62, of Pine Avenue, Plattsburgh, N.Y., passed away Monday, June 24, 2013, at home with his loving family by his side under the care of Hospice of the North Country. He was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on March 18, 1951, the son of Thomas Mason and Mildred (Mitchell) Burke.

Pat graduated from Our Lady of Victory Academy. He retired from the City of Plattsburgh Department of Public Works in 2005 after 33 years of service. He enjoyed working outside and volunteered at Our Lady of Victory Church. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Pat was predeceased by his parents, two brothers; Michael and Thomas Burke; and a sister, Minta in infancy. He is survived by his wife Laurie J. (Gibbons) Burke of Plattsburgh; a son, Mason Burke and his wife Risa of Morrisonville; a daughter, Audra Burke of Plattsburgh; two brothers, John Burke of West Lafayette, Ind., Daniel Burke of Mass.; two sisters, Marie Corron and her husband Paul of Beekmantown, Lea Beech of Longwood, Fla.; his grandchildren, Connor Burke of Plattsburgh, Ethan Burke of Morrisonville, Bennett Steady of Plattsburgh, Emily Burke of Morrisonville; several nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Saranac Independence Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the North Country or the CVPH Medical Center Foundation.
