Trip to see ‘Les Miserables’ offered

ELIZABETHTOWN — The Elizabethtown Social Center and North Wind Tours are offering a community trip to see the Broadway production of “Les Miserables” on Wednesday, May 1.

The trip to Proctor’s Theater in Schenectady includes round-trip transportation via Luxury Motor Coach, tickets to the show and a buffet dinner at Golden Corral.

The cost of $122 per person is due at registration. All reservations must be completed before Wednesday, March 13. The trip is subject to cancellation if fewer than 35 reservations are received by that time.

Senior group busy planning events

BEEKMANTOWN — The Busy B’s Senior Citizens group is planning a number of upcoming events.

First up is a potluck dinner at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7, at the Beekmantown Town Hall.

On Sunday, April 13, the Busy B’s will travel to Burlington to see the musical “Oliver” at the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts. The bus will leave the Town Hall at noon. The play begins at 2 p.m., with dinner at Shanty on the Shore after. The price is $33 for club members and $48 for guests. Members should pay by Friday, March 15; after that date, the trip will be opened up to anyone interested in going.

From Monday to Thursday, May 27 through 30, Gene Carroll is planning a group trip to Niagara Falls. The trip costs $525 and includes three nights in a hotel, three breakfasts and three full-course dinners. A $200 deposit must be made by Thursday, March 14, and the balance by Thursday, April 4.
