“We fell behind early, but with 30 seconds to go before the half we tied it at 20 apiece and had good momentum,” Cougars coach Frank Dumas said. “PHS had a pretty good third quarter, but we were able to cut it to five and had the ball in the fourth. But, we missed a shot and had to foul.”

Olivia Carlsson added eight points for Plattsburgh.

Taylor Rabideau led the charge for Northeastern Clinton with 11 points. Allie Cartier added nine points, while Skyler Hebert finished with eight.

“It was a back-and-forth game,” Dumas said. “It was a good game, very competitive. Plattsburgh did what they had to do.

“The kids played as hard as they could, and I thought we did a nice job defensively.”
