Caregivers support group to meet
PLATTSBURGH — Behavioral Health Services North will hold two discussion groups for unpaid caregivers.
The first is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at the United Way Building, 45 Tom Miller Road in Plattsburgh.
The second group is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the Emmaus Room at St. Peter’s Church in Plattsburgh.
There is also a telephone support group from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16.
The discussion groups are open to anyone providing unpaid care to an aging family member or friend.

Good Fellowship Club luncheon today in Mooers
MOOERS — The Mooers Good Fellowship Club will meet at noon today for a potluck luncheon at St. Joseph Church Hall here.
Members are asked to bring money for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners and for any unpaid club dues. Also, bring something for the local food pantry.
New members are always welcome.
Learn about volunteer work at ‘Talk and Tea’
PLATTSBURGH — Two area agencies are hosting a “Friendly Reassurance Tea and Talk” from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, at St. Peter’s Church in the Emmaus Room.
Tea, coffee and baked goods will be served at the event, which is being put on by the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Clinton County (RSVP) and Joint Council for Economic Opportunity of Clinton and Franklin Counties (JCEO).
The tea is for seniors age 55 and older who are interested in finding out about volunteering as a friendly visitor, reassurance phone caller or respite caregiver. Current volunteers are welcome to attend. To register, call 566-0944.
