PLATTSBURGH — A Schuyler Falls man was arrested for felony drunken driving Dec. 15.
At about 1 a.m., Travis Dumas, 27, allegedly hit several cars in a parking lot on the corner of Margaret Street and Court Street, according to Plattsburgh City Police.
Officers initiated a foot pursuit when Dumas jumped out of the vehicle and ran away, police said.
He was charged with DWI with a prior offense in the past 10 years, a felony, and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor. He was also ticketed for refusing a breath screening and leaving the scene of an auto accident, police said.
Dumas was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court.
PLATTSBURGH — A Peru woman was arrested Dec. 17 for falsifying business records.
Jessica Morrow, 28, allegedly identified herself as another person during a traffic stop, according to Plattsburgh City Police.
After an investigation, charges and a warrant were prepared and Morrow turned herself in, police said.
She was charged with first degree falsifying business records, a felony, and second degree criminal impersonation, third degree aggravated unlicensed operation and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, all misdemeanors. She was also ticketed for expired insurance, police said.
Morrow was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court.
PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh woman was arrested for felony drunken driving Dec. 17.
At about 3:35 p.m., Emily Batha, 33, allegedly drove her vehicle from Miller Street onto railroad tracks and stopped about 150 feet from the roadway, according to Plattsburgh City Police.
Batha was located in the drivers seat of the vehicle. She was subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated, a felony; unlawfully possessing a noxious material and reckless driving, both misdemeanors. She was also ticketed for moving from lane unsafely.
She was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court.
CHAZY — A West Chazy woman was injured in a one-car accident Dec. 18.
At about 3:49 p.m., Gail Martino, 44, was traveling northbound on O’Neill Road at an unsafe speed, Chazy-based State Police said.
Martino left the lane, striking a tree, police said.
She was transported to CVPH Medical Center.
CHAMPLAIN — An obstructed view from a windshield caused a three-car accident Dec. 12.
At about 8:04 a.m., Jesse Ribble, 24, of Chateaugay, was traveling eastbound on State Route 11 when he failed to see the cars in front of him stop at a red light at the intersection of Church Street, according to Chazy-based State Police.
Ribble subsequently hit the vehicle in front of him, driven by Courtney Miller, 35, of Plattsburgh, who then rear-ended a vehicle driven by Hughues Berger-Pelletier, 29, of Montreal, police said.
Police determined that road salt and sun glare on Ribble’s windshield obstructed his view, police said.
He was ticketed for view obstruction, unsafe tire and following too closely.
