Plattsburgh man arrested for allegedly violating parole

FELONY ARREST

PLATTSBURGH — A man was arrested by Sheriff’s Deputies on a charge of allegedly violating probation.

William E. Waterson III, 24, of Plattsburgh was arrested Monday at 7:10 p.m at a residence in the Town of Plattsburgh, the Sheriff’s Department said.

Waterson had been convicted of second-degree forgery and second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument April 25, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

He had allegedly violated the conditions of his parole, and Sheriff’s Deputies reported they arrested him after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Waterson was taken to the Clinton County Jail and is being held without bail, the Sheriff’s Department said, adding that Waterson is scheduled to appear in Clinton County Court at a later date to face the allegations.

CONDITION UPDATE

BURLINGTON — Michael Magee, 52, of West Chazy has been discharged from the hospital at Fletcher Allen Health Care and sent to Fanny Allen for rehab.  

On Dec. 10, Magee had been critically injured when he was struck by a car while crossing Smithfield Boulevard.

His rehab at Fanny Allen is said to be going well.

No further information was available Tuesday.
