PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man remains in critical condition after becoming briefly pinned beneath a backing pickup truck Saturday night.
Plattsburgh City Police are continuing to investigate the accident that left Ronald Boulrice hospitalized at CVPH Medical Center.
City Police have released limited information about the ongoing investigation but know that the 61-year-old was dragged "a short distance" behind the front tire of John Seiden's truck around 10:45 p.m. Saturday.
Police said Tuesday that Seiden, 54, of Plattsburgh attempted to back his truck out of his driveway on Roosevelt Terrace when the tire "impacted" Boulrice, who was not run over.
It was unclear Tuesday how Boulrice was positioned when the accident happened, although Seiden told the Press-Republican that the man apparently was lying on the ground beneath his truck. He said he did not see Boulrice when he got in the truck.
"It's heart-breaking," Seiden said Tuesday.
Anyone with information about the accident is encourage to call City Police at 563-3411.
No tickets had been issued as of Tuesday, when Boulrice remained in critical but stable condition at the Plattsburgh hospital.
