Crown Point overtakes Chazy

CHAZY -- Travis Tabor singled in Justin Potter in the top of the seventh with the go-ahead run and Crown Point went on to defeat Chazy 5-3 in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference baseball action.
Crown Point spotted Chazy an early 3-0 lead, but tied it with three in the sixth.
Kevin Gadway got the big hit in the sixth with a two RBI single for Crown Point. Gadway finished the day with two hits.
Chazy tried to rally in the bottom of the seventh but went down in order as Aaron Walters made a play at third to end the threat.
Jacob Spring pitched a complete game for the Panthers, striking out 10 and allowing seven hits. Kyle Reynolds absorbed the loss for the Eagles while striking out five.

SCHROON LAKE -- Brian Horton struck out seven and had a two-RBI triple in the Wildcats' victory.
Anthony Vanderwalker, Brennan Bush and Nick Langabeer all had consecutive singles for RBI in the bottom of the third for Schroon Lake (5-1, 5-2). The Wildcats pulled ahead with a six run third 9-3.
Austin Strong had two hits for the Warriors.

WESTPORT -- It was a solid birthday outing for Kevin Russell as he went 2-for-3 with a double to help the Eagles past the Lions.
Steven Smith went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI, and Nick Robare went 2-for-3 for Westport.
Colin MacIver pitched to all but the last two batters, striking out six and walked one.

NORTH CREEK -- Old Forge belted out 11 hits and scored 16 runs to take care of Johnsburg.
Dalton Ordway had two hits and four RBI, Nick McCarroll had two hits and two RBI and Andrew Sherrick had a bases clearing double.

ELIZABETHTOWN -- Kristen Jacques doubled home MaryBeth LaRose with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh as Elizabethtown-Lewis prevailed in a game that featured 42 bases on balls.
With one out in the seventh, Kaleigh Ratliff laid down a perfect sacrifice bunt to move Allison Dickerson and MaryBeth LaRose into scoring position. Dickerson scored on a passed ball at home and Kristen Jacques then doubled to deliver the game-winning run.
