Caregiver group to meet Thursday
PLATTSBURGH -- There will be a support group for all unpaid caregivers on Thursday, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the United Way Building, 45 Tom Miller Road, Plattsburgh. As in the past, these groups are open to anyone providing unpaid care to an aging family member or friend. No appointment is necessary. New caregivers, friends and family are welcome.
Senior-citizen legal issues to be discussed
PLATTSBURGH -- Law Day 2008, the 14th annual state-wide decision-making day program, will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Senior Citizens Council, 5139 North Catherine St., Plattsburgh. Meet local attorney Heidi Dennis, who will discuss health-care proxies, powers of attorney, wills, DNR, organ donations and probate. Call 563-6181 to register to attend.
