MASSENA — Amy L. Parnaby, 40 of Highland Ave, Massena, died peacefully Friday evening at her home surrounded by her loving husband and family.
Amy had courageously fought cancer for the past several years. Services for Amy will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Phillips Memorial Home with Pastor Edwin Attaway of the First Christian Church, Brushton officiating. Family and friends are invited to call Wednesday a the funeral home starting at 2 p.m. until the time of services.
Amy is survived by her husband, Dana; her son, Garrett at home; her mother, Bernadette Dubuque of Altona; her father, Paul Oakes of Moira; brothers, Paul Oakes of Moira, Nathan Muehl of Fairfield, Vt.; sisters, Bunny French of Moira, Eva Whitmire of Massena, and Amanda Suits of Gloversville. She is also survived by her stepsons, Dana Parnaby Jr. and Dan Parnaby both of Plattsburgh; beloved aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Amy also wishing to be remembered by a few chosen close friends especially her childhood best bud Mary St.Dennis.
Amy was born in Malone, N.Y., on May 7, 1972, the daughter of Paul and Bernadette Dubuque Oakes. She married Dana Parnaby Sr. May 14, 1999 in Dickinson Center. Amy graduated from North Country College earning her Associate Degree.
Prior to her illness Amy was a Senior LPN at Sunmount DDSO on Maple St. Norwood, N.Y.
