Mark A. Bushey

MOOERS — Mark A. Bushey, 65, of Route 11, Mooers and formerly of Route 22, West Chazy, died Sunday, April 7, 2013 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with his loving family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh, Sept. 4, 1947, the son of Percy and Henricia (Seguin) Bushey.

Mark grew up in Mooers Forks and attended Mooers Central School. He was employed at SUNY-Plattsburgh until retiring in 2005.

He enjoyed baseball and football, especially the NY Yankees and NY Giants.

Survivors include his son, George and his wife, Adele of Vail, Colo.; three grandsons, Luke, Corbin, and Leo; one sister, Louise Scarborough of Fla.; one foster sister, Mary Dwyer Racicot of Rouses Point; his former wife, Pauline Wilson of Massena; one nephew, Mike of Fla.; and several cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents; and one foster sister, Marie Liberty Underwood.

Calling hours will be held from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 793 Gilbert Road, Mooers. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks with Rev. Gerald A. Cerank, parish pastor, celebrating. Committal prayers and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
