FELONY ARRESTS

PLATTSBURGH — A Dannemora man was arrested on felony DWI charges Saturday.

Christopher D. Bullock, 40, was driving on State Route 374 in the Town of Plattsburgh at 10:19 p.m. when he was spotted by police because he was allegedly speeding.

Upon interviewing Bullock, police suspected he was intoxicated. Bullock submitted to sobriety tests at the scene and failed them.

He was arrested at 10:30 p.m. and charged with DWI with a previous conviction within 10 years, a felony; operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent, a felony; and a speed violation for exceeding a 55 mph speed limit, an infraction.

Bullock was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear at the Town of Plattsburgh Court at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

No further information was available.

CHAZY — A Plattsburgh man was arrested on felony charges Saturday.

The daughter of William A. Jabaut, 47, called police at about 5:32 p.m. Saturday and reported that he was in the presence of her mother despite an active order of protection between them.

Jabaut was arrested at 8 p.m. Sunday at 9774 State Route 22 in the Town of Chazy and charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony. He was arraigned in the Town of Chazy Court and is being held in Clinton County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.

Jabaut is scheduled to reappear in court at 6 p.m. Oct. 16.

CROWN POINT — A Crown Point man was arrested on felony forgery charges Friday.

Andrew D. Burrows, 20, allegedly stole several checks from his grandfather, whom he lives with. Burrows’s grandfather reported the crime to police at 10 a.m. Friday. He said Burrows stole several checks that were issued between Sept. 20 and Oct. 3 and wrote several of them for an amount totalling almost $1,000.

Burrows was arrested at 12:45 p.m. Friday at 43 Porter Mill Road in the Town of Crown Point. He was charged with 10 counts of second-degree forgery, a felony; 10 counts second-degree possession of a forged instrument, a felony; and 10 counts of petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

Burrows was arraigned at the Town of Ticonderoga Court and is being held in Essex County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.

He is scheduled to reappear in court at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

TICONDEROGA — A Ticonderoga man was arrested on felony criminal contempt charges Sunday.

Ticonderoga police received a call from the friend of the ex-girlfriend of Mark C. Michalak, 30, late Saturday night informing them that Michalak was allegedly violating an order of protection between he and his ex-girlfriend that was put in place because of previous domestic incidents.

Michalak was arrested at 12:40 a.m. at 143 Champlain Ave. in Ticonderoga and charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony.

He was arraigned before Judge James O’Brien in Ticonderoga Town Court.

Michalak is being held in Essex County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.

CROWN POINT — A Ticonderoga man was arrested on felony burglary charges Sunday.

Cameron C. Cole, 21, was arrested at 10 p.m. by Ticonderoga police after being held by the Department of Environmental Conservation.

Police had a bench warrant for Cole’s arrest because he was allegedly involved in the burglary of a residence.

He was charged with third-degree burglary, a felony.

Cole was arraigned at Moira Town Court and is being held in Essex County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
