Matott scores game-winner for NCCS against AuSable Valley



Warick netted her first goal just 5:57 into the game before adding two more before the half.

Magan Magee added a second-half goal and picked up an assist. Taylor Durnin and Juliana Gardner also registered assists.

“NAC played a great game,” Willsboro coach Mike Douglas said. “They had too many weapons on the field for us to handle.

“Elle Warick had a great game for them and Rachael Venne was also dangerous. She was able to draw a lot of attention, which opened things up for her teammates.”

Bridget Moran had a strong game for the Warriors at midfield.

Stephanie Blanchard made 21 saves in the loss. Anna Lashway made one stop for the shutout win.

WESTPORT — Makenzie Winslow scored three first-half goals as the Mountaineers knocked off the Eagles.

Minerva/Newcomb scored all five of its goals during the first half.

Isabella Bureau and Dakota Bennett each finished with a goal. Rebecca Marra added two assists, while Danielle McNally chipped in with one.

Astasia Myler made five saves in the shutout. Hannah Looby stopped six shots for Westport in the loss.

SCHROON LAKE — Brittany Foote tallied three times and Torrie Vradenburg scored her first varsity goal as the Panthers shutout the Wildcats.

Logan Harrington got Crown Point on the board early in the first half. Vradenburg had her first career goal to give the Panthers a 2-0 halftime lead.
