Plattsburgh High 2, Saranac Lake 0

PLATTSBURGH — Hailey McLaughlin and Shae Frady each registered first-half goals as the Hornets squeaked past the Red Storm, 2-0.

McLaughlin put Plattsburgh High on the board at 4:13 when she scored off a corner kick.

Frady made it 2-0 with 7:40 remaining in the first half.

Brooke Knight attacked the end line, crossing a ball across the six-yard box for Frady to finish.

“Kelsey Senecal had a great game for us in the back,” Hornets coach Tim Mulligan said.

Plattsburgh High held the upper hand in shots, 17-3. Goalkeeper Alyssa Salls was credited with the shutout.

CHAZY 4, TICONDEROGA 1

CHAZY — Hannah Laurin connected on three goals, including two in the first half, as the Eagles defeated the Sentinels.

Rachel Pombrio added a goal and two assists for Chazy, while Kinnan Latremore finished with two helpers.

“It was nice to score early and set the tempo,” Eagles coach Karin Sherman said. “Hannah Laurin stepped it up and was a huge threat. Kinnan Latremore and Rachel Pombrio played well offensively and were huge playmakers.

“Olivia Blais played strong at sweeper.”

Haleigh Wright scored the lone goal for Ticonderoga.

Logan Baker (1) and Gwen Lapier combined for one save in net for Chazy. Sadie Hamel stopped 13 shots for the Sentinels.
