GEORGE JOSEPH BESSETTE SR., 83, of Ticonderoga, died on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Heritage Commons Residential Healthcare of Ticonderoga, where he has been a resident for the past 15 years. Born in Pottersville, N.Y., Feb. 26, 1929, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Beatrice (Bennett) Bessette. Relatives and friends may call 10 a.m to 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga. A Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Skip Trembley, Pastor of the Hague Wesleyan Church will officiate. Burial will take place in the spring at the family plot of St. Mary's Parish Cemetery of Ticonderoga.
