SCHROON LAKE — A Brooklyn man was injured Sunday morning when he struck a guardrail as a deer crossed Interstate 87 in front of his vehicle.
Lewis-based State Police said Abraham J. Mendlowitz, 36, of Brooklyn was traveling south on Interstate 87 at 7:20 a.m. when a deer crossed the western shoulder of the road in front of his 2012 Honda. Mendlowitz swerved and struck the guardrail on the western shoulder.
State police did not have any information about the extent of Mendlowitz’s injuries or if he was transported to a local hospital.
On Monday evening, Moses-Luddington Hospital spokeswoman Lisa Busby said she could not disclose if Mendlowitz was treated there.
