PLATTSBURGH — Joan C. (Infante) Perry, age 80, referred to by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as "Nonnie", died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 at Fletcher Allen Health Care surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Burlington on Dec. 25, 1933, the daughter of Lorenzo Joseph Infante and Edith L. (Bleau) Infante.
Joan was predeceased by her husband, George D. Perry; a son, Randall G. Perry; along with her parents; and two brothers, Thomas Infante and Lorenzo "Larry" Infante II.
Mrs. Perry was a former Teaching Assistant for the Plattsburgh City School District for 35 years, retiring in June of 2010. A student of St. John's Academy and Church member, she was a loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and mentor. I am sure my siblings would agree "She was the strongest woman I've ever known and have been
blessed enough to call 'Mom'."
We now take comfort in the fact that Mom will be reunited with our Dad. The love of her life, and finally meet her son that left this earth too soon.
Survivors include a son, Steven G. Perry and daughter-in- law Pamela (LaBombard) Perry of Plattsburgh; daughter, Miss Sandra C. Perry of Plattsburgh; daughter, Susan C. (Perry) Ford and companion Steve Corvelli; grandchildren, Tyler W. Perry and companion Sarah Remillard, Jessica C. (Ford) and Chad Colburn, John Michael and Heather Ford, Jacob Ford and companion Brittany Clukey; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Hayden, Ryan and Colby Colburn, Matthew, MaKayla, Trinity C. and Madison C. Ford, Nevaeh C. Ford; and a sister, Miss Helen M. Infante.
P.S. Note to Dad, please meet Colleen, Sadie, and Raven at the Rainbow Bridge. They will help you track Mom down in the Heavenly Light and escort her to the Pearly Gates because we all know her sense of direction. Also, Raven needs to make amends for breaking Mom's elbows a few doggy years
back. P.S.S., oops, Mom won't have her glasses, we forgot them at Fletcher Allen.
Calling hours will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014 at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery at a later date.
