FELONY ARREST

PLATTSBURGH — An Altona man was arrested for felony criminal contempt.

On Nov. 3, Daniel Adams, 23, allegedly followed his ex-girlfriend, Briana Latour, 18, of Plattsburgh, downtown and yelled at her, violating an order of protection, according to Plattsburgh City Police.

On Dec. 6, Adams came to the police station to inquire if there was a warrant for his arrest. He was subsequently arrested, police said.

Adams was charged with criminal contempt in the first degree, a felony, and harrassment in the second degree, police said.

He was to reappear in court at a later date.

No further information was available. 

PERSONAL-INJURY ACCIDENT

CHAMPLAIN — One person was injured in a two-car accident Dec. 9.

At about 7:36 a.m., Melissa M. Leon, 19, of Rhinebeck, N.Y., was traveling westbound on State Route 9B, approaching the intersection of State Route 9, according to Chazy-based State Police.

Leon’s car failed to stop at the intersection because of wet roads and struck another vehicle, driven by Kathleen E. Murphy, 54, of Chazy. Murphy was headed northbound on State Route 9, police said.

Murphy was transported to CVPH Medical Center for complaint of chest pain, police said.

No further information was available.
