Cardinal hockey tickets still available
PLATTSBURGH — Single-game tickets for Plattsburgh State men's hockey games are available at the Field House box office on game nights only. The box office opens at 5:30 p.m. There are tickets available for every game.

North Bowl Rest. leads Riverside tourney
AUSABLE FORKS — North Bowl Restaurant posted a score of 3,381 over the weekend to take the early lead in the 33rd-Annual Riverside Lanes Handicap Tournament. Bowling continues for three more weekends with entries accepted over the telephone.

Nick Bouyea's 722 series powered the North Bowl team into the lead. He was backed up by Jim Varno, 705; Jeff Bouyea, 686; Bob Munson, 634; and Ryan LeBeau, 634.

The North Bowl Pro Shop is in second place with a 3,356 score. The team includes Jim Varno, 703; John Munson, 701; Nick Bouyea, 682; Bob Munson, 666; and Bob Trombley, 604.

The Outlaws I, 3,347, hold down third place, followed by The Outlaws II, 3,222; North Bowl Lanes, 3,132; Slim's Slammers, 3,126; Riverside, 3,047; and North Bowl Stars, 3,308.

Volleyball skills clinic slated for Sunday
CLINTONVILLE — A volleyball skills clinic, featuring three coaches including national coach Sue Medley, will be held Sunday at AuSable Valley Central School for girls in grades 7-12.

Paul Smith's falls to Vt. Tech in soccer
PAUL SMITHS — The short-handed Paul Smith's College women's soccer team lost to Vermont Tech on Sunday, 4-0. Vermont Tech, which held a 22-13 edge in shots, scored three times in the second half to pull away to the victory. Karlie Zurmuhlen made 18 saves in goal for the Lady Bobcats.

The Paul Smith's College men lost a tough conference game on Sunday to Vermont Tech by a score of 2-1. The Bobcats tied the game on an Anthony Wolcutt goal late in the second half. Just minutes later, Vermont Tech answered with a goal by Tim Quinn.

Junior Cardinals squirts edge Canton
PLATTSBURGH — Gavin Giroux, Luke Carpenter and J.B. Chapin scored goals Sunday as the Plattsburgh Junior Cardinals beat Canton, 3-2, in hockey.

Kurtis Olsen picked up two assists and Cole Harvey made several key saves to seal the victory. Kade Collins and Brendan Whalen played well on defense.

Mooers Strikers go unbeaten in tourney
ALBANY — The Mooers Strikers U-10 boys' soccer team went undefeated in the Afrim's Halloween Tournament with an 8-0 win over Galway Mixed, a 3-2 victory over Fulton United, a 7-1 decision over Amsterdam, a 6-0 win over Galway Mixed in the semifinals and a 3-2 victory over Fulton United, rallying from a 2-0 deficit, in the finals.

Team members include Nick LaDue, Jamie Rabideau, Holden Nieves, Kyle Vassar, Andrew Nolette, and Dylan Grennon. The coach is Alfie LaDue and the team is sponsored by Rick Lamberton, of Jreck Subs.
