Volunteers Many people think that volunteer fire departments are a waste of taxpayers' money; just to remind you, they get paid nothing, not a dime. They do not hesitate for a second when they put their lives on the line to help others. So when they feel they need to have equipment or training that will best help in any emergency, why complain? Any new equipment or training could very well be the one thing to save your life or that of a loved one.
Street There is a street in the heart of our beautiful city, in a residential community. What is a yellow school bus and a dump truck at the far end always parked there for? It also obstructs traffic passing, and as we are all well aware there are many children on this street. God bless, if anything ever happens because of this parking situation. There must be a zoning law that could be enforced.
Employees How sad that there are a number of employees who feel they have excuses and are entitled to use their work computers for personal reasons during the work day. Employers must be discouraged to find their employees checking Facebook, answering e-mails, placing orders, playing cards or, worse yet, working on a different job entirely. Where will this end? Does it result in job termination (computers can and should be monitored constantly) or in poor service or performance so the business loses customers and jeopardizes everyone's jobs?
Moved up I've been told that this kind of thing has been going for years and there's nothing you can do about it, but I have to comment on this matter. I just think that it is so unfair when a young player is moved to a varsity team and gets to play before a senior who is playing for the last time and is just as good as the younger player. Are there any coaches out there that can help me understand? It is so unfair to that senior.
