FELONY ARRESTS

KEESEVILLE — A Keeseville man is accused of burglarizing a church in Keeseville.

The incident was originally reported to State Police on Oct. 28, 2012, according to a State Police blotter entry.

Plattsburgh-based State Police said nothing was taken from the Immaculate Conception Church on Spring Street in Keeseville.

Evidence was sent away for DNA testing with the genetic material matching Scott A. Pelkey, 48, police said.

Pelkey was arrested May 28 and was charged with third-degree burglary, a felony.

He was arraigned in Chesterfield Town Court and sent to Essex County Jail without bail, police said.

No further information was available.

SCHUYLER FALLS — A Morrisonville man was charged May 27 with strangulation and assault.

The charges were a result of an alleged domestic dispute between Joshua J. Wells, 23, and a woman, Plattsburgh-based State Police said.

The incident was reported to State Police at 7:56 p.m. May 27, according to a State Police blotter entry.

Wells was arrested later that day and was charged with second-degree strangulation, a felony, and third-degree assault with intent to cause physical injury, a misdemeanor.

Wells was released on his own recognizance to appear in court at a later date, according to the blotter entry.

No further information was available.

PERSONAL-INJURY ACCIDENTS

MALONE — A Malone man was injured Wednesday when a car struck the bicycle he was riding, police said.

The crash happened at 3:30 p.m., according to the New York State Department of Transportation.

Michelle Lamica, 36, of Brushton was traveling westbound on Route 11 near Airport Road in the Town of Malone when bicyclist Denis McDonald, 69, of Malone, who was riding westbound ahead of her on the paved shoulder, attempted to turn left into Wal-Mart, turning in front of her vehicle, Malone-based State Police said.

Lamica’s vehicle struck McDonald’s, police said.

McDonald was taken to Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

No tickets had been issued as of Wednesday evening.

MOOERS — Two people were injured in a one-car accident Wednesday.

Shortly before 3 a.m., Christopher J. Corcoran, 27, of Rouses Point was traveling westbound on Route 11 near Depot Street in the Town of Mooers when his vehicle exited the roadway via the north shoulder, struck an earth embankment, became airborne and came to rest on the north shoulder of the road, according to Chazy-based State Police.
