PLATTSBURGH — In the photo of the Saranac Lake versus Plattsburgh girls’ basketball game in Wednesday’s edition of the Press-Republican, the player for the Red Storm was misidentified.

Regan Kieffer of Saranac Lake is in the photo, she was incorrectly identified as Nicole Viscardo.

NLTC 5k Frostbite Run results

ROUSES POINT— The Northern Lights Track Club Rouses Point 5k Frostbite Run drew a record number 99 runners Tuesday. Brian Wilson was the overall male winner with a time of 18:33, while Cassie Sellars was the overall female winner with a finishing time of 22 minutes. The race is a fund-raiser for the Rouses Point Fire Department and the Jonathan Evans Memorial fund.

Umpires to meet in Schroon Lake

SCHROON LAKE— The Westport Chapter of the New York State Baseball Umpires Association and the Southern Adirondack Softball Umpires will be holding meetings for anyone who is interested in umpiring high school baseball or softball. Meetings will be held on Feb. 26, March 5, 12, 19, and 26, at Schroon Lake Central School. ‘Girls Only Skate’

PLATTSBURGH— The Plattsburgh Youth Hockey Organization U14 girl’s team held a “Girls Only Skate” at Ameri-Can North Sports Center on Sunday. The team hosted the event to encourage and support girl’s participation in hockey. More than 60 girls, coaches and parents from the cross-ice, mites, squirts, pee wees, U14 and U16 programs gathered to promote the involvement of girls in our local hockey programs.

Plattsburgh Rod & Gun Club Rifle Match results

PLATTSBURGH— Champlain’s Peter Visconti fired 790 out of 800 to take first place in last weekends NRA Rifle Match, held at the Plattsburgh Rod and Gun Club. Frank Richards of Mooers, fired a 783 to finish in second place. Keith Spiers and Visconti both fired a perfect 400 in the prone event. Spiers had 38 center shots to Visconti’s 34. The top Junior shooter was Andrew Visconti who shot a 766, taking sixth overall in the event. For more information about the programs at the club or target shooting contact Coach Visconti at 298-7776.
