WILLSBORO — Chazy scored nine runs in the top of the seventh inning Wednesday to outlast Willsboro, 33-25, in a high-scoring Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference girls’ softball game.
Amber Polomsky, Megan Reynolds and winning pitcher Paige Barcomb led Chazy with three hits each, with Polomsky getting a home run, Barcomb four RBI and Reynolds three RBI.

Tori Wade paced Willsboro with three hits and a RBI, while Renee Marcotte added two hits and three RBI, Andrea Ohare two hits and two RBI, and Alyson Arnold a home run.

WESTPORT — Jasmin Barnes went 2-for-4 with a double as the Lions held off the Eagles.
Elizabethtown-Lewis took advantage of an eight walk second inning to score nine runs on just one hit.
Felicia Kurth took over on the mound in the third inning and limited the Lions to just six runs the rest of the way.
Chontel St. Denis captured the pitching victory for Elizabethtown-Lewis. Ellie Schwoebel took the loss for Westport.
Sarah Looby led the charge offensively for the Eagles with a 3-for-4 performance. Hannah Looby captured her first career varsity hit in the game, and finished with a 3-for-3 afternoon.

OLMSTEDVILLE — Angela McCall accounted for four hits, while Mary Labar went three-for-three, including a double and four RBI, to lead the unbeaten Mountaineers (5-0).
Gabby McNally added a double, single and three RBI, and Ashley Miller two doubles for Minerva/Newcomb, which had 15 hits in all.
Cheyenne Williams was the winning pitcher. Brittany Woodward finished with two of the four Wells’ hits.
Minerva/Newcomb broke the game open early on, scoring nine runs in the first inning and six more in the second for a 15-0 lead.

CROWN POINT — Alex Macey delivered a strong pitching performance for the Panthers, but was also strong from the plate in their win over the Wildcats.
Macey struck out 13 batters in six innings and belted a grand slam in the victory. Maria Malone added two strikeouts in relief.
Brittany Foote and Shelby McGuiness each cracked a triple for Crown Point. Hunter Spaulding led the way with three hits, while Logan Harrington added two. Malone finished with a double.
Kiana Fiore rapped a double for the Wildcats’ lone hit of the game.
Tyler Swartwout took the loss for Schroon Lake.
