FELONY ARRESTS

PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was charged Nov. 10 with criminal mischief.

Upon leaving Woodstock bar on Margaret Street in Plattsburgh a few minutes before 11:39 p.m., Ryan Carey, 35, kicked a glass door leading to Protection Avenue, shattering it, according to Plattsburgh City Police.

Carey caused $300 in damage to the door, police said.

He was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony.

Carey was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court and will reappear there at a later date.

A few minutes before 3:40 a.m., Randy Hart Jr., 24, was attempting to drive a standard-transmission vehicle out of a steep driveway into City Hall Place when Plattsburgh City Police received a call from people living in the area about the noise the vehicle was making, Plattsburgh City Police said.

Upon their arrival, police discovered the 2002 Subaru Hart was driving was a stolen vehicle, police said.

They also found Hart to be intoxicated and in possession of hydrocodone pills that were not prescribed to him, police said.

He was charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony; misdemeanor driving while intoxicated; third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.

Hart was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court the following day and will appear again in court at a later date.

MALONE — A Sonyea, N.Y. man was charged with possession of prison contraband.

According to a State Police blotter entry, Ronnie Guity, 24, was arrested by Malone-based State Police at the State Police barracks and was charged with first-degree possession of dangerous prison contraband, a felony.

MALONE — A Malone man was charged with possession of prison contraband.

David T. Coombs, 28, was charged with first-degree possession of dangerous prison contraband, a felony.
