Mustang Club car show on council agenda

PLATTSBURGH — City of Plattsburgh councilors will take action on a light agenda at tonight’s meeting.

Among the items to be acted on are a request from the North Country Mustang Club to have a car show at the waterfront parking lot on Sunday, July 27, 2014.

The meeting begins with a work session at 5 p.m., followed by the regular session at 5:30.

Both are open to the public.

SLCS Board considers impartial-hearing officer appointment 

SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Central School Board scheduled a special meeting for 8 a.m. today in the High School board room.

On the agenda was the appointment of Nancy Lederman as an impartial hearing officer for a pending due-process complaint.

No additional business will be conducted.

Meetings are open to the public.

Saranac School Board meeting canceled

SARANAC — The Saranac Central School Board meeting scheduled for Sept. 16 has been canceled.

The next regularly scheduled School Board meeting is 6:30 p.m. Oct. 7. 

AVCS Board meeting to be held

CLINTONVILLE — The AuSable Valley Central School Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at the Middle School-High School auditorium.

Agenda items will include special-education recommendations and personnel issues.

It is expected that an executive session will be held, followed by the regular meeting.

Board meetings are open to all.

College Council to hear about budget impact

PLATTSBURGH — The SUNY Plattsburgh College Council will hold its first fall meeting at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, in the Alumni Conference Room, Angell College Center.

In addition to the standard committee reports and a report from President John Ettling, John Homburger, vice president for business affairs, will give the council a report on the impact of the 2013-14 state budget and bring members up to date on campus construction projects.

College Council meetings are open to the public.
