KEENE — State Police are asking for the public’s help to find 46-year-old Scott Haworth of Chicopee, Mass.
Haworth was last seen Sept. 5 at the Valley Grocer in the Town of Keene, State Police said in a news release.
Haworth is an avid hiker who frequently hikes alone, police said.
Haworth is 6 feet tall and 165 pounds, police said.
Those who may have seen Haworth or have information about his whereabouts are asked to call State Police in Ray Brook at 897-2000.
WILTON — Shannon J. Putnam, 50, of Ticonderoga was charged with felony driving while intoxicated after a 2:14 p.m. stop Monday on Interstate 87 southbound near Exit 15, State Police said.
She was arraigned in Town Court and sent to Saratoga County Jail when she couldn’t pay bail. She has since been released from custody.
Putnam was charged with felony DWI because she has a prior misdemeanor DWI conviction within the past 10 years, police said.
She was additionally charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, because her driver’s license had been suspended or revoked.
ROUSES POINT — A Schuyler Falls man was charged with assault after he allegedly attacked his father.
On Sept. 2 at about 10:30 p.m., Jacob N. Miller, 28, and his father, Darwin G. Miller, 50, of Rouses Point engaged in a physical fight in the parking lot of The Anchorage Motor Inn in Rouses Point, State Police Troop B Public Information Officer Trooper Jennifer Fleishman said.
Jacob struck his father several times with his fists and feet, Fleishman said.
Darwin was taken by Rouses Point EMS to CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh for treatment of injuries he sustained in the fight, she said.
Jacob was charged with assault with intent to cause serious physical injury, a felony.
He was arraigned in Chazy Town Court Sept. 5, Fleishman said.
No further information was available.
MALONE — A Brushton man was charged with burglary Sept. 4.
Harley D. Bell, 24, was arrested at 1398 Route 11 in the Town of Moira and was charged with third-degree burglary, a felony, according to a State Police blotter entry.
Bell burglarized a seasonal residence, State Police Troop B Public Information Officer Trooper Jennifer Fleishman said.
The investigation is continuing, she said, and no further details were available.
NORTH ELBA — A Saranac Lake man was charged with burglary Sept. 3.
Clarence A. Hare, 50, was arrested following a reported Sept. 1 burglary at 841 MacKenzie Pond Road in the Town of North Elba, said State Police Troop B Public Information Officer Trooper Jennifer Fleishman.
Hare entered the residence when no one was home and stole two flat-screen televisions, an X-box, a hand-held radio set and a glass jar containing about $40 in change, Fleishman said.
Hare was charged with second-degree burglary, a felony, and arraigned in North Elba Town Court.
He was sent to Essex County Jail without bail, she said.
MOIRA — A Moira man was charged with reckless endangerment Sept. 1.
At about 8:38 p.m., Macenzie A. Helm, 20, allegedly failed to comply with police after he was witnessed operating a motorcycle with a passenger at a high rate of speed, Malone-based State Police said.
A pursuit ensued when police attempted to stop the motorcycle, police said.
Helm was charged with first degree reckless endangerment, a felony, and fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, police said.
Helm was also charged with one count each of several infractions: operating a motor vehicle without inspection; operating a vehicle without insurance; operating an unregistered motorcycle; no plates; improper license; failure to obey a police officer; failure to keep right in a two-lane road; improper passing on the right; failure to stop at stop sign; speeding in zone; and reckless driving.
In addition, he was charged with two counts of driving left of pavement markings, failure to signal and exceeding 55 miles per hour, all infractions.
He was taken into custody in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond. He was to reappear in court Monday.
PLATTSBURGH — A motorcyclist was injured in a two-vehicle accident Sept. 5.
Shortly before 6:43 p.m., Jeffrey J. Summitt, 42, was driving a box truck southbound on Route 22 in the Town of Plattsburgh when he failed to yield the right of way of a motorcycle while making a left-hand turn, State Police Troop B Public Information Officer Trooper Jennifer Fleishman said.
The motorcycle, driven by Dale G. Bradley, 52, of Peru, struck Summit’s vehicle, Fleishman said.
Bradley was taken by ambulance to CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, she said.
He was semi-conscious at the time and had apparent bleeding to his legs, Fleishman said.
Bradley was treated and released from CVPH, according to a patient care coordinator at the hospital.
Summitt was ticketed for failure to yield to the right of way.
PLATTSBURGH — A Peru woman was injured in a three-car accident Aug. 30.
Shortly before 4:08 p.m., Samuel Rogers Jr., 57, of Otisville, N.Y., was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier westbound on Bank Street when he struck a 2005 Honda driven by Denise Moore, 51, of Lachine, Quebec, while attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Smithfield Boulevard, State Police Troop B Public Information Officer Trooper Jennifer Fleishman said.
Moore had been driving southbound on Smithfield Boulevard, Fleishman said.
Following the collision, a vehicle driven by April Mudd, 45, of Peru rear-ended Moore’s car, she said.
Mudd was taken to CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh after she complained of neck pain.
Rogers was cited for failure to yield to the right of way at an intersection.
