---- — ADK Covey Hill Culinary Tour Friday

PLATTSBURGH — On Friday the public is invited to join the Algonquin Chapter of the ADK on a Covey Hill Culinary Tour in celebration of the summer solstice. The tour will include visits to a farmer’s market, a pub and more. Bring your passport and your appetite. Call leader Shelley Fracalossi at 645-3475 by today.

Peru Big Blue Hoop Camp accepting walk-in registration

PERU — The Peru Big Blue Hoop Camp will be held at Peru Central School during the week of June 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Walk-in registration is welcome.

The cost is $110 for walk-in registration, and the camp is open to boys and girls entering grades 3 through 10 from any school district. Walk-in registration begins at 8:15 a.m. June 24 in the Peru High School lobby.

All campers receive a customized T-shirt, a basketball, a player evaluation and coaching from current and former college and high school coaches and players.

Players of all ability levels are welcome.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch Monday through Thursday.

Indoor range open for summer

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh Rod and Gun Club will continue to be open to the public during the summer. The range will be open at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays for rifle shooting and at 7 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays for pistol shooting. Instruction and equipment is available for loan at no charge. Corona Championship to be held July 7

ROUSES POINT — The Corona Championship, one of the most competitive golf tournament s in the region, will be held July 7 at North Country Golf Club. The tournament will have three divisions: the championship group, which is open to players who have an established handicap of 7 or less and will play 36 holes in one day, the 50+ group (18 holes only), and the 60+ group (18 holes only).

Ray McCabe Memorial July 13-14

PORT HENRY — The Moriah Country Club will host the 18th-Annual Ray McCabe Memorial on July 13 and 14. The format is a 36-hole scramble with flights established after play Saturday. Entry fees are $65 for members and $85 for non-members and include a practice round on July12, continental breakfast both days, dinner and live band Just Us Saturday evening. AuSable Valley Hall of Fame meeting is June 25

CLINTONVILLE — The AuSable Valley Hall of Fame committee will hold a meeting at 6 p.m. June 25 in the Middle High School conference room. The meeting is open to all.

As a reminder, the committee will entertain nominations until July 1 for inclusion in this year’s class. Application forms can be found on the AVCS web page and should be returned to Scott Bombard, 17 Sheldrake Road, AuSable Forks, NY.

Leavine Scholarship Tourney has openings

PLATTSBURGH — The 17th Annual Elizabeth “Mikey” Leavine Scholarship Golf Tournament is set for Tuesday, June 25, at the Barracks Golf Course and still has openings. It is a nine-hole, three-person scramble with men/mixed and women’s divisions. The Calloway scoring system will be used. The cost is $28 per person for non-members and $12 for members. The field is limited, so prepayment is required by June 21.

There are many off- and on-course prizes, including a raffle for a flat screen TV, golf clubs and much more. Entry forms are available at the Barracks or at, and sponsorship opportunities are still available. Proceeds will go toward the presentation of six $500 scholarships in Mrs. Leavine’s name.
