FELONY ARRESTS

TICONDEROGA — A Ticonderoga man was arrested on burglary charges Tuesday evening.

Joshua M. Gijanto, 32, was arrested at 6:30 p.m. in Ticonderoga at a residence whose occupant had an order of protection against him, according to the Ticonderoga Police Department.

Gijanto was charged with second-degree burglary, a felony.

He was arraigned in Ticonderoga Town Court and sent to Essex County Jail without bail.

PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh woman was charged with grand larceny July 11.

Starting in April, Belinda Downey, 43, allegedly took $13,000 out of a relative’s investment accounts illegally, Plattsburgh City Police said.

Downey was charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony.

She was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court and was sent to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash or $30,000 bond.

PERSONAL-INJURY ACCIDENTS

CLINTON — One person was injured in a two-car accident Tuesday.

Shortly before 8:32 a.m., P.E. Vannortwick, 28, of Altona was making a right turn from Route 11 onto Lost Nation Road in the Town of Clinton when the vehicle traveling behind him, driven by Bill T. Weaver, 64, of Shady Dale, Ga., was unable to slow in time to avoid an accident, Plattsburgh-based State Police said.

Weaver swerved to the north shoulder and overcorrected, which caused his vehicle to overturn onto its passenger’s side, police said.

Vannortwick’s full name was not available, as were any further details.

BLACK BROOK — One person was injured in a one-car accident Monday.

Shortly before 12:18 p.m., Brigitte N. Buysse, 18, of AuSable Forks was driving southbound on Dry Bridge Road when her vehicle left the road and struck a utility pole, Plattsburgh-based State Police said.

No further information was available.
